There are a lot of great breweries in Charlotte where you can have many styles of craft beer, such as IPAs, sours, ales, and stouts.

Whether you want to visit a brewery that focuses on brewing traditional beer or a place that is dedicated to creating unique brews, you can do so in the city. At many of the breweries, you can also get delicious food, and at some of the places, there are events that you can attend, including events with live music.

Sycamore Brewing

Sycamore Brewing is a brewery where you can get fresh beer that is made with high-quality ingredients. This brewery was founded in 2013 and is now one of the largest breweries in North Carolina.

You can find the main taproom at 2151 Hawkins Street in Charlotte’s South End and this taproom is open 7 days a week.

The taproom has an area of about 21,000 square feet and features a beer garden, cafe, Airstream food truck, and a taproom.

At the taproom, you can try any of the year-round styles of beers, such as the “Mountain Candy”, which is a pale ale, or the “Sungrown”, which is a lager.

You can also try any of the seasonally-available beers at the taproom.

In addition to that, you can get food at Sycamore Brewing’s taproom. There are sandwiches, burgers, different types of pizza, salads, and other dishes.

Wooden Robot Brewery is a 15-barrel urban farmhouse brewery in Charlotte that was inspired by the innovation of American craft brewing and the traditions of Belgian farmhouse breweries.

At the brewery, you can get beer made with local malt, fresh fruit, and other high-quality ingredients.

Wooden Robot Brewery has two locations. There’s “The Brewery”, which you can find in South End, and there’s “The Chamber”, which you can find in the NoDa neighborhood.

Lenny Boy Brewing is a brewery that is located at 3000 South Tryon Street. This place brews Kombucha and was established in 2011.

The company started as a facility that produced non-alcoholic kombucha. In 2013, Lenny Boy Brewing became a microbrewery, and the company’s product line now includes traditional beers, sours, kombucha, hard kombucha, and wild ales.

For its sours and wild ales, the brewery uses locally sourced and organic ingredients.

The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery is a brewery that was established in 2009. At this place, you can get fresh, pure, and high-quality beer.

The brewery only uses these four ingredients for its beer: malt, water, hops, and yeast. The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery never uses added colors, artificial flavoring, or other low-quality ingredients.

There are several core beers that are available all year round.

One of these is the “Fat Boy Baltic Porter”, which is a dark beer with notes of caramel, dark fruit, toffee, and chocolate.

There are also seasonal beers that are available for several months each year. For example, the “Mecktoberfest”, which is a Märzen-style amber lager is available during the Fall.

Resident Culture Brewing Co. is a brewery with several locations in Charlotte. Each location is open every day of the week.

The brewery makes hop-forward styles of beer. You can get hard seltzers, lagers, pilsners, ales, IPAs, and other styles at Resident Culture Brewing Co.

When you go to the South End taproom, you can also get delicious BBQ classics, and you can get delicious coffee at this location.

NoDa Brewing Company

The NoDa Brewing Company is a brewery that was established in 2011. This brewery has two taprooms. One of these is located at 2229 North Davidson Street, and one is located in Charlotte’s North End at 150 W 32nd Street. There is also a third location at the CLT airport.

The year-round beers include pilsners, ales, and lagers. One of these is the “Pitchside Pils”, which is a refreshing pilsner that is brewed with German Pilsner malt and German hops.

One of the best seasonal beers is the “Gordgeous”, which is a pumpkin ale that is made with real pumpkin puree. This brew is available during the fall.

The Pilot Brewing Company is a nano-brewery with great craft beer in Charlotte that you can find in the Plaza Midwood neighborhood.

This brewery focuses on brewing small-batch experimental styles of beer using high-quality ingredients. Whether you want to try an IPA, stout, sour, pilsner, or other style of beer, you can do so at this brewery.

Hi-Wire

Hi-Wire Brewing is a brewery that was founded in 2003 in the city of Asheville. The brewery has several locations in the state as well as other states, and there’s one taproom in Charlotte.

You can find the Charlotte taproom at 340 West Tremont Avenue in the city’s South End neighborhood. This taproom opened in 2022.

The company focuses on brewing traditional styles of beer, and it has a large lineup of beers. You can choose from flagship, seasonal, and specialty beers.

One of the best flagship brews, which is available all year round, is the “Hazy Pitch”. This is a hazy IPA with tropical American hops.

At the taproom in Charlotte, there are 20 taps with beers from Hi-Wire, and there are other drinks available too.

You can also play interactive games in the taproom, including table tennis, foosball, and soccer pool, and there are often events, such as game nights and Sunday brunch events.

Free Range Brewing is a brewer that was established in 2015 that you can find at 2320 North Davidson Street. At this place, you can get great beer made with local ingredients.

All beers at Free Range Brewing are made with 95% locally sourced ingredients. You can get IPAs, lagers, and other types of beer.

Lots of live music events take place at Free Range Brewing. These often take place on Sunday afternoons and during the events, you can listen to great music by local artists.

Legion Brewing

Legion Brewing is a brewery with several locations in Charlotte. For example, there is one taproom in Charlotte’s SouthPark.

Legion Brewing has a production facility in West Charlotte, where beer is made with high-quality ingredients. Most of the grain that is used in the production of beer at this place comes from Carolina Malt House, which is located in Cleveland, NC.

You can try any of the core brews of Legion Brewing at the taprooms. For example, you can get the Supernova Cherry Lemon, which is a sour wheat beer. There are also seasonal and small-batch beers that you can try.

Besides beer, you can also get food at the taprooms of Legion Brewing. Each location’s food menu includes other options.
