Moreover, a part of the collection consists of works that were made by local artists.
Besides a great permanent collection, there’s much more that you can see and do at the museum.

The New Morning Gallery is a wonderful art and craft gallery that you can find in Biltmore Village.
It is a historic gallery that dates back to the year 1972

Also, what’s nice is that if you like the art, you can buy the objects at this gallery.
Furthermore, what’s great is that you can visit the gallery every day of the week.

Asheville Pinball Museum
The Asheville Pinball Museum is a wonderful place to check out when you are looking for Asheville museums.
This is a museum where you can find many different pinball machines and classic video games. In total, there are 70 games that you can see here.
Many of the games come with vintage designs that are wonderful to see, and you might recognize these games from when you were younger!
What’s special about this museum is that you can’t only see the games at this place. You can also play the games and this is a lot of fun!
There is a fee of 15 dollars, which allows you to play the games as much as you like.
Keep in mind that this is a very popular place in the city, and there’s often a long waiting time to enter the Asheville Pinball Museum.

Asheville Radio Museum
The Asheville Radio Museum if you want to learn new things about radio.
This is a specialty museum where you can learn about a lot of different topics that relate to radio.

Also, you can learn about Morse code and equipment related to that at the museum!

You can go to the Estes-Winn Antique Car Museum.
This is an antique car museum that you can find at Grovewood Village.
At the museum, you see a collection of about 20 different vehicles that were owned by Harry D. Blomberg.
There are many unique and rare cars that you can see here.
For example, there are cars from the year 1913, which is amazing!
Also, you can see an American LaFrance Fire Truck here that looks very beautiful.
What’s nice about the museum is that there is no admission fee, so anyone can go there. However, there is a suggested donation of 5 dollars.

Biltmore
Biltmore is a wonderful historic house and estate that you can find in Asheville.
It is a Châteauesque-style mansion that is amazing to see.
The mansion was created at the end of the 19th century by George Vanderbilt.
You can go to the mansion to see the beautiful nature that surrounds it and the amazing detailed architectural style.
You can do a self-guided tour of Biltmore, but you can also do guided tours here.
During a guided tour, an expert guide takes you on a walk at the estate and gives you a lot of interesting information. Also, you’ll visit some places that you can’t see when you tour the house on your own. For example, you’ll visit rooftops from where you can enjoy a magnificent view of the estate.

Biltmore Industries Homespun Museum
The Biltmore Industries Homespun Museum is a one-room museum where you can learn about Biltmore Industries.
This is a former weaving factory and the factory was known for its wool fabric.
At the museum, you can see old equipment that was used in the weaving process.
Also, you can see tools that were used to dye the wool.
Besides that, you can see photographs, letters, and all kinds of other objects here through which you can learn about the story of the factory.

Asheville Museum of Science
Want to learn about science? Then, you should not miss out on the Asheville Museum of Science.

Moogseum is a museum that you can find on Broadway Street,
It is a non-profit that is dedicated to the legacy of Bob Moog.
You can find many different exhibits here that are very interactive and that relate to history, music, and science.
For example, you can find exhibits here where you can learn to play theremins and synthesizers.
Furthermore, the museum has a collection of a lot of archival material. In total, there are more than 1,000 different pieces o this here. You can see and learn about these through multimedia exhibits.
Also, you can learn about how electricity can be used to create sounds, which is very interesting too.

Black Mountain College Museum + Arts Center
The Black Mountain College Museum + Arts Center is an interesting museum in Asheville that is focused on the preservation and exploration of Black Mountain College’s legacy.
Black Mountain College was a private liberal arts college that was active from 1933 to 1957.
Many of the alumni of the college became very influential in the art scene.
At the museum, you can see all kinds of exhibitions that focus on topics that relate to Black Mountain College.
